3: Slow Flow with Dice

Overall Summary

I was excited to try out the new trainer Dice! As of right now this is his only 30 minute slow flow, but he has several energetic flows that I’m eager to try out!

At the beginning of this class it kinda sounds like it will be a hip opener, and it kind of is, but also kind of isn’t. This class focuses on the muscles “around your pelvis” as well as your hamstrings.

I felt it most in the muscles right above my hips and definitely my super tight hamstrings. There are some interesting warm up poses where you do Cat/Cows in a couple different seated positions. It felt great and was a new twist on a common pose!

I didn’t get the normal pops and creaks from my hips that I usually get from a hip opener class, but my lower back definitely feels more open.

Marie’s Mods of Mods

  • You will be in the Forward Fold pose multiple times during the class and Dice encourages you to play around in it. My favorite way to forward fold is to lightly cross my arms while folded. I feel like it helps pull my shoulders down and open up my spine around the shoulder area.
